This project seeks to enhance social charity initiatives within Haitian hospitals to improve patient care and support vulnerable populations. By mobilizing community resources, raising awareness, and coordinating volunteer efforts, PAV-H aims to create a sustainable system of charitable support that addresses medical, emotional, and material needs of patients who face financial hardships.

Background:

Many patients in Haitian hospitals are unable to afford essential medical services, medications, or basic needs during their hospital stay. Social charity efforts can bridge these gaps but often lack coordination, funding, and volunteer engagement. Boosting these efforts will improve patient outcomes and demonstrate solidarity and compassion in healthcare settings.

Objectives:

• Strengthen and organize social charity programs within at least 3 major Haitian hospitals.

• Mobilize volunteers and local partners to provide material and emotional support to needy patients.

• Increase donations of medical supplies, food, and hygiene products for hospital charity initiatives.

• Raise community awareness about the importance of social charity in healthcare.

Activities:
