We Build and Create is a comprehensive vocational training program aimed at empowering vulnerable youth by providing hands-on education in manual trades. With a $20,000 budget, the project will offer skill-building workshops, mentorship, and tools necessary for young people to enter the workforce or start their own small businesses. This initiative gives youth a second chance to improve their lives and contribute productively to their communities.
Background:
Youth unemployment and lack of access to vocational training are major challenges in many communities. Many young people face barriers due to poverty, limited formal education, or social exclusion. By learning manual professions such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical installation, and masonry, youth can gain employable skills, increase income opportunities, and build sustainable futures.
Objectives:
Train 100 youth aged 15-25 in at least three manual trades.
Provide tools and materials necessary for practical learning.
Facilitate mentorship and job placement or entrepreneurship support.
Foster personal development, responsibility, and community engagement.
