Poor Fullest Service:

Project Summary:

We Build and Create is a comprehensive vocational training program aimed at empowering vulnerable youth by providing hands-on education in manual trades. With a $20,000 budget, the project will offer skill-building workshops, mentorship, and tools necessary for young people to enter the workforce or start their own small businesses. This initiative gives youth a second chance to improve their lives and contribute productively to their communities.

Background:

Youth unemployment and lack of access to vocational training are major challenges in many communities. Many young people face barriers due to poverty, limited formal education, or social exclusion. By learning manual professions such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical installation, and masonry, youth can gain employable skills, increase income opportunities, and build sustainable futures.

Objectives:

  • Train 100 youth aged 15-25 in at least three manual trades.

  • Provide tools and materials necessary for practical learning.

  • Facilitate mentorship and job placement or entrepreneurship support.

  • Foster personal development, responsibility, and community engagement.

Activities:

  1. Vocational Training Workshops
Conduct practical sessions in trades like carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, masonry, and welding.

  2. Toolkits and Materials Distribution
Provide trainees with starter kits of basic tools to practice and eventually use in their work.

  3. Mentorship and Career Guidance
Assign experienced professionals as mentors to guide trainees and support job placement or business start-ups.

  4. Follow-up and Support
Regular check-ins to monitor progress, offer additional support, and help overcome challenges.

  5. Community Engagement Events
Showcase trainee projects and promote local businesses formed by graduates.

Expected Outcomes:

  • At least 90% of trainees acquire practical skills and certifications.

  • Minimum 60% of graduates gain employment or start small businesses within 6 months.

  • Increased youth empowerment and reduction of social marginalization.

  • Strengthened local economy through skilled workforce development.
