What We Do

Child Protection

No child should grow up without shelter, school or protection. This is at the heart of our work.

Emergency shelter and care

We identify children exposed to the streets, violence, abandonment or child labor and immediately provide them with a safe environment. Each pathway is individualized and monitored by a team of social workers and psychologists.

Identification and assessment

Our street teams and local partners spot children at risk and carry out a rapid assessment of risks and needs within 24 hours.

Safe accommodation

Depending on each situation, the child is referred to a temporary reception center, a qualified foster family or safe reunification with their family of origin.

Psychosocial support

Specialized psychologists are assigned to every child to ease trauma, rebuild trust and prepare a stable life plan.

24/7 alert line

A phone hotline and secure messaging allow anyone to report a child in danger at any time of day or night.

Schooling and educational success

School is a bulwark against precariousness. We ensure every protected child can resume or continue their schooling in dignified conditions.

Enrollment and school fees

We cover enrollment fees, administrative files and annual contributions to avoid any interruption in schooling.

Supplies and uniforms

Every child receives a complete kit including backpacks, textbooks, notebooks, pens and two school uniforms per year.

Academic support

Evening classes and tutoring sessions are provided by volunteers and teachers to fill gaps and improve results.

Absence monitoring

We maintain constant contact with partner schools to quickly detect repeated absences and react without delay.

Nutrition, health and hygiene

A healthy child learns and grows better. We provide age-appropriate nutritional, medical and hygiene follow-up.

Balanced meals

Children in our care receive three daily meals designed by a nutritionist, with menus adapted to specific needs.

Medical follow-up

Regular consultations are provided by partner doctors: health check-ups, treatment of common illnesses and referral to specialists when needed.

Vaccination and prevention

We update vaccination records and organize prevention campaigns against tropical and infectious diseases.

Hygiene and clean water

Hygiene kits (soap, toothbrush, cleaning products) and access to clean water are provided to every child and foster family.

Legal protection and rights advocacy

We ensure every child benefits from fundamental rights: civil identity, access to justice, protection against child labor and abuse.

Civil identity

We assist with civil status procedures and birth certificate applications, a prerequisite for access to school and healthcare.

Fight against child labor

We identify children employed in dangerous conditions, negotiate their withdrawal with employers and offer a school-based alternative.

Protection against abuse

Reports of physical, sexual or psychological violence are handled confidentially and referred to the appropriate services.

Judicial collaboration

We work with child protection police, prosecutors and judges to ensure sensitive cases are followed up and children have legal representation.

Prevention and community awareness

Child protection also depends on educating adults. We train families, schools and community leaders to recognize risks and act.

Family training

Parent-child workshops cover non-violent communication, conflict management and the importance of schooling.

School awareness

We intervene in schools to discuss children's rights, abuse prevention and secure reporting mechanisms.

Community leaders

Pastors, neighborhood leaders, teachers and social workers are trained to become vigilance and reporting relays.

Public campaigns

Radio campaigns, posters and street theater are regularly organized in the most vulnerable neighborhoods to raise public awareness.

Family reintegration and long-term follow-up

Our ultimate goal is for every child to return to a stable, protective family environment, with regular follow-up to prevent relapse.

Family assessment

Before any reintegration, we assess the family's ability to provide safety, affection and the child's basic needs.

Mediation and support

Social workers support the family for several months to resolve conflicts, improve living conditions and strengthen bonds.

Post-reintegration follow-up

Home visits and regular interviews are scheduled for at least one year after the child's return.

Gradual empowerment

For teenagers, we offer vocational training, internships and support for economic integration.
